It is always difficult to contemplate the end of a treasured pet's life.
We understand this and our goal is to make your pet's last moments
be as peaceful as possible.

When your pet's health is failing we can offer options to help their
last days be more comfortable. We can also help you make decisions
for your pet by providing guidelines on quality of life.

When you have made the decision to say goodbye, we will offer you
a variety of options so that you may choose the one that is most
comfortable for you and your pet.  It may be easiest for you to
consider the options before the time has come.

You may or may not wish to be present with your pet as they pass.  If
you choose not to be present we will provide as much love and
affection as possible in your absence.  In certain situations we may
also be able to come to your home.  You may choose to bury your
pet at home or you may choose cremation.  We would advise that
you check your local laws if you choose burial.

We utilize Faithful Companions Pet Cemetery in East Smithfield,
Pennsylvania for our cremations.  If you choose to have your pet's
ashes returned to you they will be returned in a hand-carved wooden
box along with a certificate confirming that the ashes belong to your
pet. If you wish, you are welcome to tour the Faithful Companions
facility and they will offer you the ability to be with your pet at their
facility prior to the actual cremation.  You may then take your pet's
ashes home immediately after the cremation.  Faithful Companions
does offer a variety of urns and has 2 pet cemeteries if those options
are of interest to you.  We would encourage you to visit their website
for more information about their services:

Many people choose to keep a memento such as a clipping of hair
from their pet. If you have children it may be helpful for them if you
have them draw pictures or send some type of message to be
cremated with your pet. They may also benefit from a ceremony to
say goodbye.
