The cornerstone of our service is a complete physical examination,
from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail.

We recommend a minimum of an annual exam for our younger
patients, and as they reach their 'golden years' we strongly
recommend semi-annual examinations so they we may be proactive
rather than reactive in caring for any issues that may arise.

Our vaccination policy is completely based on the individual patient,
we do not have a blanket vaccination policy.  Each pet has a unique
set of circumstances and because of this, each deserves a treatment
plan tailored to those circumstances.

Dogs
DHLPP: This is the distemper combination that we give every 3 years
after the initial series.  Our vaccine includes Leptospirosis as we see
this infection on a fairly regular basis.
Leptospirosis 4-way: We give this vaccine annually to protect against
this disease.
Bordetella: We use the intranasal variety of this vaccine to protect
your pet against kennel cough if they will be in situations where they
are at risk.
Rabies: Your pet will receive a one year vaccine for their first vaccine
and a three year vaccine if they have had this vaccination previously.
Lyme: We carry the lyme vaccine if your pet is at risk for this
disease.  We do see several cases of this disease in our area each
year.

Cats : Our vaccine protocols are based on the guidelines issued by
the
American Association of Feline Practitioners.
FVRCP: This is the distemper combination that we give every 3
years after the initial series.
Feline Leukemia: We use the recombinant form of this vaccine to
help prevent vaccine induced sarcomas.  This is an annual vaccine if
your pet is at risk.
Rabies: Your pet will receive a one year vaccine for their first vaccine
and a three year vaccine if they have had this vaccination previously.

Ferrets: We carry both Distemper and Rabies vaccines for ferrets.
